The Association of Black Women Physicians is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to the improvement of public health and welfare, through the advancement of knowledge concerning women and the community health. The Association of Black Women Physicians empowers Black Women to lead in health and wellness for ourselves and the community through premiere educational programs. The organization creates and supports numerous community health and wellness events that continue the tradition and goals set forth by the original charter members.
Becoming an ABWP member means that you join an established community of successful women comprising a network of more than 500 physicians and physicians-in-training. We are women who endeavor to enhance the personal and professional lives of present and future Black women physicians. We believe you will find the programs and activities of ABWP relevant to and a reflection of the shared interests and needs of its members. You will also find a place that supports your dreams and celebrates your successes.
ABWP's 41st Annual Charity Scholarship & Benefit Gala will take place Saturday, October 22, 2022.
This event's success is extremely vital to our organization as it helps raise funds to continue to provide scholarships for our future Black doctors and the necessary resources to the communities in which we serve.
