The purpose of our Sister-to-Sister program is to pay it forward by demonstrating excellence through mentoring future black women doctors and to help them navigate through the challenging process of becoming a physician. Visit our Sister-to-Sister page for more (click here).
The Annual ABWP Charity & Scholarship benefit fundraising events provide much needed scholarships to academically outstanding Black women to help defray the high cost of medical education.
We cannot do the work without the generous support of our community partners and sponsors. Click (HERE) for more info or to sponsor our next Charity & Scholarship Benefit Gala,

Advocacy programming helps identify policy and legislative issues impacting the health of underserved communities. The Advocacy committee educates the ABWP membership and key stakeholders about such issues and formulates action plans designed to bring about necessary change. Issues addressed in recent years include breast cancer, hypertension, HIV/AIDS, black maternal health, Alzheimer's and more.
For over 40 years, the Association of Black Women Physicians have remained ahead of the curve with holistically creating programs to help solve public health concerns and to provide quality healthcare to the communities we serve. ABWP has a wide range of qualified Physician Members that range from Family Doctors, OB/GYN's, Cardiologists, Psychiatrists, to Pediatricians. We have black women doctors on our membership roster from just about every field of medicine. Email us to book an ABWP Doctor for your next event or media opportunity.
